Naked Rice Japanese Katsu Curry
Easy prep. Choice of three consistencies – thick and intense, medium (recommended), and thinner sauce, based on how much water you put in. Quantities look rather timid when you take the lid off.
It has real chicken in it – but less than 2%.
Nice curry smell permeates the air.
Rice is cooked ok, I was worried it would be chewy.
Tastes pretty standard katsu curry. Thick with rice, kind of feels like having a savoury bowl of Rice Krispies, only a bit softer.
Not blown away to be honest – tasty enough, but I’m still hungry, this was barely a side dish.
