Waitrose Korean BBQ pork with sticky rice

The plastic peels away nicely, unlike a lot of rubbish ready meals nowadays. And it’s clear, which is better for recycling. So far so good.

Having said that, there’s an odd black plastic insert you have to remove halfway through cooking. It keeps the sauce away from the rest of the food, but it’s fiddly and feels quite unnecessary.

The food itself? Nice pork (no complaints about that!) and a strong lemongrass flavour (a little overpowering). There were also some very unpleasant, chewy bits of green which were inedible – see last pic.

At £4 RRP, this is overpriced, and not actually hugely tasty. Wouldn’t have again.
