Sainsbury’s Sausage Pasta Bake

Tastes like it’s been made with the cheapest ingredients. Sauce is overpowered with tomato and is otherwise a bit flavourless. There is only the merest sprinkling of cheese, which disappears when you stir the pasta as per the microwave instructions.

The sausage is quite tasty and almost makes up for the carbs that it is served with. As I write this, I bite on an unpleasant piece of grit in the pasta, so I stress the word “almost”.

I’d be more forgiving if this were in the Basics range, but otherwise I expect a certain level of quality.

Ultimately quite a disappointing dish.
