Word of warning- takes an age to cook! I wanted a quick meal before my lecture, but this requires 15 minutes in the microwave- I had to return to it afterwards. Decent portion size, but the tomato sauce is a bit sweet, sickly, and bland. This tastes just like plain pasta with a little bit… [Read More]

Disappointing. 24% potato and 8% spinach makes you wonder what the rest of it really is, and the answer appears to be water. Bland, uninteresting, watery. Where’s the creaminess? Where’s the spinach? Other negatives include the underdone potatoes and the £1.80 approximate price tag. Still, it wasn’t dreadful, so avoids receiving our worst rating.
The bread is soft, soggy and chewy, and my first bite split the sub in two, making a very difficult and messy snack. The meatballs are far too soft and instantly instil distrust as to their contents. They taste pleasant enough and have the flavour of a bolognese mince, but where’s the texture?! The sauce… [Read More]
I couldn’t help licking my fingers after opening the sachet of “heavenly broth paste”, confidently named by the people at itsu. It tasted promising- a strong Thai lemongrass with a chilli kick. Unfortunately, I followed the instructions to the letter, adding boiling water to the suggested fill level. The result is a watery, bland mess…. [Read More]
Too salty. Unpleasant, overly dark flavour. Lots of potato, so quite filling, but ultimately skimping on the meat and veg.
I found this pineapple to be surprisingly sour. That’s where it loses most of its marks, I’m afraid. Additionally, the pineapple rings themselves are pretty thin. And at 60% pineapple, 40% pineapple juice, I feel a little bit hard done by.
The tomato-packed sauce ends up being watery, the king prawns tough and chewy and the basil undetectable. This is reasonable in terms of its taste, but unreasonable in terms of its cost. Not particularly filling, and far too expensive given the cost and quality of the ingredients. Not flavoursome enough nor exciting enough. A bit… [Read More]
Not really a naan bread, more of a wrap. Quite a messy eat. Tasty enough, but a bit sickly. Will give you bad garlic breath!
Immediate failings: this comes in bags that are difficult to poke holes in during the first step of cooking and dangerous to empty once the cooking is finished. I followed the instructions correctly but the spaghetti was still cold (not tepid, COLD) in the middle. Consequently, I had to cook the whole thing for longer,… [Read More]
The sauce has a peculiar yoghurt taste. Very very mild… quite bland. I found only 2 pieces of mango and a single piece of avocado, so it’s not exactly packed with flavoursome ingredients. The chicken didn’t taste right- I felt like I had poor cuts of meat. That said, the quantity is quite generous. Even… [Read More]
