Waitrose Nasi Goreng

Simple to cook, clean, good recyclable packaging. The only faff is the ‘plastic insert’ used to separate the sauce and the rice – but the result is worth it.

Has a real, unexpected kick to it. You can see the flakes of chili on the chicken and throughout. A little beyond my comfort levels to be honest – my nose was streaming by the end!

A satisfying variety of textures: crunchy green beans, succulent chicken, spongy egg, and saucy rice carrying a dark soy flavour.

This is a world apart from the Chef Select Nasi Goreng; in its own class. Tastes like real restaurant/takeaway food.

Really quite delicious! If it could come down a little on price and heat, it would be a solid 5*.
