Flavourless, filling food. This gives chicken tikka a bad name- the tiniest bits of chicken, with a hot, spicy kick. The lasagne itself is ok- fairly rich and creamy. The chicken tikka combination isn’t unpleasant, or even weird, just underwhelming. Still, not bad for £1.

Hardly any lamb to speak of- just a few bits of mince. Nice and obvious use of fresh ingredients (you will find yourself crunching on the odd clove). Tasty flavours. Despite its lack of meat, the meal doesn’t feel lacking.
I really didn’t trust this one- a complete chicken curry and rice meal, ready to eat in less than two minutes in the microwave, with a year long shelf life and no need to keep in the fridge. I mean, it’s BRILLIANT, but I just don’t trust it. Awesome fridge-space-saving practicalities aside, there’s an unpleasant… [Read More]
Look at the picture- first impressions aren’t good! I had this with rice (not pictured). Horrible, chemical taste, heavily perfumed, eurgh. Not a pleasant colour- dark, unnatural. Quite spicy. The odd bit of potato and carrot here and there, and even less in the way of chicken. The chicken pieces are small and difficult to… [Read More]
Very good first impressions. Gorgeous smell, looks amazing. Fairly creamy, but nothing like a korma. This is just like the sauce you get with a biryani. Contains sweet potato, which I’m not a fan of, but this is tasty nonetheless. This is a mild curry which has a slightly warm feeling as it goes down… [Read More]
Not a lot to say about this one. It’s quite spicy and is about as hot as a curry can get while still being tasty. The sauce is a tad watery, but there is lots of chicken. Nice and easy microwaving instructions.
The chicken is soft but quite dry. Saying that, these are nice big pieces of chicken, quite good value. The sauce has a potent aftertaste, quite perfumey and unpleasant- I genuinely had to double-check and see if my tin was in date. It didn’t help that there was a dark black stain at the bottom… [Read More]
The “mild” part of the title is a little misleading. Though this isn’t a vindaloo by any means, it still packs a small punch, which might be too much for the more sensitive curry-eater. Reasonable quantity of beef. Pleasantly soft texture – much preferable to being too tough. The curry itself is a little disappointing,… [Read More]
