Sainsbury’s Chicken Coconut Laksa Noodles

Sainsbury’s has a real thing for laksa. Apart from the soup I reviewed in 2012, I haven’t seen it anywhere else.

I think this is an iteration on the same product: a creamy, lemongrass-rich sauce with fresh vegetables and chunks of chicken. There’s more chicken than last time (though it still feels a bit mediocre) and fewer greens (though it still counts as one of your five a day).

Maybe this is an unfair review as I’m eating a reduced product that may not be as ‘fresh’ as it should be, but the sauce is quite bitter and the chicken somewhat dry. I’m not getting much of the coconut or chilli flavour this time around. And £3.25 RRP is quite a lot for the 345 calories it gives you.
